We’ve been working diligently on our iPhone apps. There are updated versions of both the treatment app(right), and the post feed app(left). The changes in these apps make them more stable, look more appealing, and are easier to use. We have, also, created manuals for these apps as well so if you need one please reach out to us and let us know.

The breakeven app is the next on the list to have a makeover. The new app will have a similar look and feel to the other apps, but, also, add functionality that the Android app has had for quite a while.

The new version will have the ability to sync with ALT to bring in ingredient, ration, and micro data. You will be able to edit and add to this information from your device if you would like, or just use what comes from ALT. These values can then be used to create a more accurate calculations, and, also, provide a load calculator.  This app does add quite a bit to what it originally was and will take more time then the others app where it was mainly interface changes, but will be out before 2018.

Alt Post Feed App & Alt Desktop Software Development Update

Since the Alt Post Feed app was made available there has been a couple of features that were requested, and I wanted to take a moment and update the status of those requests.
The main requests were:

  •  The ability to change the date to post feed to
  •  The ability to see what has already been posted

Both of these items are in the testing phase of development, and should be pushed out to the play store very soon.
The iPhone version is, also, currently in active development for both of these features as well, and will follow shortly behind.

Also, the Advanced Livestock Tracker desktop software has had some updates relating to this as well:

  • Discovery of new data from mobile apps is now more reliable–the mechanism has been entirely rewritten.
  • Posts still show up at the bottom of the screen, but now are categorized by Date
  • Clicking on a particular item now allows for the posting of just that item as well as deleting it
  • All entries from a particular day can be posted at once or –as before–all entries can be approved at once.

I have made a short video to show these features here:

Android Breakeven app Update!

Recently, there have been some changes to Dropbox that caused the Breakeven app for Android to not function on phones with 64 bit processors. We looked at a few different options–including abandoning the use of Dropbox altogether. However, in the end, since our newest app for recording treatments on your phone also uses Dropbox we decided to just rewrite the parts of the app we needed to and re-release it.

Yesterday, that work was completed, and an update for the app was published.

We sincerely apologize for any irritation this might have caused. If you were affected by this issue it should be cleared up now, and if there are still issues, please let us know.

If you have issues with any of our apps for that matter, please drop me a line to let me know.

New Android App!

Over the last six months or so there has been several requests for an app that would be able to give a run down of Lot data stored in Advanced Livestock Tracker. This new app is an answer to those requests.
The Alt-Lot-Master app–through the mobile export service–gives you access no matter where you are to all the information of your cattle stored in Advanced Livestock Tracker.
The app uses Dropbox to sync from Advanced Livestock Tracker so exporting to your phone is wireless and done with 1 button click.

Once you download the app let us know so we can set you up with the service.

New Page!

We gave the page a bit of a fresher look, and added a blog.
If you’ve ever visited the page before that’s probably stunningly obvious, since it’s quite the change from what it was.

This blog will be used for product updates, new releases, and other news that has anything to do with Advanced Livestock Tracker.

Thanks for stopping by,
